Buhari Visits Nigeria! Nigerians Mock Buhari over Bagpipers’ welcome for his 'State Visit' to Nigeria from Qatar |
Nigerians have continued to mock President Muhammadu Buhari over the
guard of honour mounted by a contingent of bagpipers ostensibly drawn
from the military.
The dozens of bagpipers, men and women all dressed like Scots in plaid
shorts, rather than skirts wearing berets and boots in a presidential
reception for Buhari who has being globetrotting in cash strapped
Nigeria, has left Nigerians reeling.
Kayode Ajulo, former National Secretary of the Labour Party and an
Abuja-based lawyer, said: “When you're in an Air Conditioner powered
room, you tend to forget how hot it is outside. That's exactly how it is
with our leaders, President Buhari doesn't know how hot things are in
Nigeria. He doesn't know our pain. He therefore needs our prayers.”
In another facebook post, Emmanuel Mc-Donalds Onuoha, wrote: President
Buhari of Junketing Republic arriving Nigeria on an official working
visit,” while Amonia Rita Stewart, was more direct, “What nonsense
display is this?? Are we Scots??? Why all the razzmattaz??”
Yet another, Sola Kuti wrote:
"This is how Emperor Buhari was received on his state visit to Nigeria
yesterday. Na only visitor dem dey receive like this
ooo.ππππππππ. Na real triumphant entry...Jesus would be jealous.
A bloody emperor he is...this man na betta April Fool ooooo....because
this just has to be a sick joke. Whenever you people are ready, you
admit electing this hunter is the error of the century.
"Pls, take your time...no rush. I want you to suffer well first. Nigerians got PUNKED by APC."
Buhari since his inauguration as president on May 29 last year has
travelled to more than 22 countries despite dire economic situation at
home.
