Barely six months after a Bristow Helicopter plunged into a Lagos
Lagoon, at Oworonshoki, a settlement on the foot of the Third Mainland
Bridge, in Lagos, August last year, killing the pilot and some other
passengers, another of the company's choppers met the same fate on
Wednesday.
However in this incident, said to have involved the aircraft, marked 5N
BJQ, flying at 1,500 feet with nine passengers and two crew members, is
reportedly without casualties, even though another report said the pilot
and the crew were yet to be located.

Authorities of the company, were quoted as describing the incident as a
deliberate crash-land by the pilot, in a term called "prepared ditching"
after a fault was discovered in the aircraft.
